Will the car live?

Yesterday was spent waiting for the mechanic to call back so we could make an appointment.  Right now as I type my husband has hopefully gotten the car to drive a little bit further to the garage to be looked at.  I'm waiting for news whether or not we have a car that can be saved or if we need a new one.  Depending on which way this goes, affects whether or not we take this trip.  Talk about living one day at a time!
